Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Stephen Zajac is a Buffalo native and he has been serving the Western New York community since 1979. A graduate of Villa Maria College and the National College of Chiropractic, he had previously practiced in Cheektowaga, New York, for over 20 years. As a strong supporter of community service, Dr. Zajac served in multiple positions with the New York State Chiropractic Association, the American Heart Association and the Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He was previously appointed to the Cheektowaga Police Advisory Board. Now residing in the Rochester area, he continues his community service as a member of the Lake Shore Fire Department, as well as the Greece Special Police. Dr. Zajac was one of the originators of Prism Health Networks, serving as the clinical director of the organization. He also continues to serve as the clinical director of the Erie County Medical Center (ECMC), department of chiropractic. As the coordinator of clinical services for D’Youville’s chiropractic program, Dr. Zajac’s background and experience greatly enhances the clinical experiences for both patients, as well as chiropractic interns.
Dr. Charles Coyle grew up in a chiropractic family being treated from a very young age, being that his father is a chiropractor. He grew up in Cheektowaga, NY and is a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo and the National College of Chiropractic, in Lombard, Illinois. He has been in practice for over 20 years. First, he practiced with his father and sister in Cheektowaga for seven years before moving to his present practice in Williamsville, NY. Dr. Coyle held a clinical position for the Depew Health Center of the New York Chiropractic College for nine years.
Dr. Lisa A. DeMarco is a dedicated health care professional with 14 years of progressive chiropractic experience in private practice and area hospitals. She earned a BS degree from SUNY Buffalo in Exercise Science and her Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College. After establishing her private practice in her hometown, she began to pursue her passion for teaching. Dr. DeMarco served as a faculty member of New York Institute of Massage and as an Adjunct Professor at New York Chiropractic College’s Depew Health Center. She served as an active board member that integrated chiropractic into local hospitals and was the associate clinic director of the first free standing chiropractic department within a New York State hospital. Currently granted allied health privileges at Erie County Medical Center. Last year she founded WeCanRow-Buffalo, NY which is a wellness and rehabilitation rowing program for female cancer survivors through the University at Buffalo. Dr. DeMarco has held multiple positions within New York State Chiropractic Association and is a Certified Practitioner of the Kinesio® Taping Method and Cox® Technic.
Dr. Mark Dux earned his professional degree from Western States Chiropractic college in 1980 after completing undergraduate studies at the University at Buffalo and schools in California. Dr. Dux has been a practicing chiropractor for 29 years and a faculty clinicial for 11 years at the New York Chiropractic College Clinic in Buffalo. He is a native of Buffalo, married and has two adult sons. His interests include music, art and sports, and he coached high school baseball and basketball for 6 years.
Dr. Darryl Lindell is a native of Western New York. He received his B.S. from Buffalo State College in 2000 where he majored in Health and Wellness with a concentration in geriatrics and nutrition. He then earned his doctorate from New York Chiropractic College in 2003, where he was inducted to the Phi Chi Omega Chiropractic Honor Society. Dr. Lindell opened his own practice in Depew in 2004 which later moved to Cheektowaga where he is currently practicing. As a certified Cold Laser Therapist, Dr. Lindell offers a diverse approach by utilizing this treatment along with his chiropractic treatments which include flexion distraction as well as diversified adjusting.
Dr. John Meechan is a graduate of Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, and a 1995 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Meechan also runs D'Youville's satellite clinic at the Buffalo Spine and Sport Institute in Williamsville, NY. BSS offers a unique approach to health care because they have medical doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists working together under one roof. In addition to his commitment to D'Youville, Dr. Meechan maintains a private chiropractic practice in St. Catharines , Ontario where he lives with his wife and two children.
Dr. David Ribakove earned his Bachelors of Arts in Biology at Suny College of Buffalo in 1987. He is a 1992 Graduate of New York Chiropractic College, and has served the Western New York patient community since 1993. He has been in private practice in Kenmore and worked at Sheehan Hospital. Dr. Ribakove is past District President for the New York State Chiropractic Association, active locally as well as on the State Level. He had been a chiropractic educator from 1998 until 2005, and for D'Youville College since August 2007. He has been both an educator of Chiropractic students as well as field doctors, lecturing on such topics such as Business, Ethics, Risk Management, Documentation, and X-ray Pathology. Dr. Ribakove was the 2001 Chiropractor of the Year for the local chiropractic community. He enjoys a satisfying mutual referring relationship with several area physicians and specialists such as neurologists, pain management specialists, Obstetricians, Orthopedists and Neurosurgeons. He serves on a number of committees for local insurance companies. He has been married to his college sweetheart, also a chiropractor, since May of 1999. His hobbies include camping, bicycling, exercise, and amateur radio, as well as chasing after his two children.
